Clinisys Acquires Orchard Software; Strengthens LIS and LIMS Portfolio

Bengaluru: Clinisys, a global leader in laboratory information systems (LIS) and diagnostic informatics, has acquired Orchard Software from Francisco Partners, a prominent technology-focused investment firm.

This strategic acquisition significantly enhances Clinisys’s capabilities in laboratory informatics, enabling it to serve a broader spectrum of healthcare, life sciences, and public health customers worldwide.

The acquisition combines Orchard’s robust LIS portfolio with Clinisys’s advanced laboratory information management systems (LIMS), cloud-first solutions, and diagnostic technologies.

Together, the companies aim to deliver scalable, flexible, and future-ready informatics platforms for laboratories ranging from physician-office labs and reference labs to veterinary and public health institutions.

Since its acquisition by Francisco Partners in 2019, Orchard Software underwent a successful strategic transformation that included cloud modernization, product innovation, and enhanced leadership.
